Stain Matching

Stain Matching

When you stain your own wood, it's hard to get exactly the color that was used on an old piece. Even if there is enough left over from another coat of staining! And when this happens with newly cut pieces? It just doesn't look right- they're lighter in hue and different shades altogether after one day of drying , something will always seem off compared side by side.

This is the challenge of stain matching. Different woods will take stain differently, even in the same species. We have the ability to match most any stain. All we need is a sample of what you want us to match and a sample of the wood you intend to stain.

We can do multi-step matches to match glazed products.

We ask for atleast 48 hours to properly match a stain.
