Application Tips

• Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, free of loose particles, dirt, mildew, oil, grease, chalk, and efflorescence. Sand glossy surfaces, clean, and prime with a multi-purpose primer. For interior applications, apply two coats of Meoded Lime Wash Base Coat (available at Arizona Paint Supply). For exterior fresh cement-based surfaces, allow at least 21 days to cure. Lightly moisten porous surfaces with water before application.
• Interior Application: Stir thoroughly. Apply the first coat using a Meoded Box Brush in a cross-hatch or multi-directional pattern, maintaining a wet edge. Allow at least 8 hours to dry. Apply the second coat similarly. For more uniformity, add a third coat.
• Exterior Application: Dilute the first coat with 10% water for porous surfaces. Apply with a Meoded brush. After drying, lightly dampen the surface with a sponge (avoid dripping). Apply the second coat in the same manner. Do not apply in temperatures below 55°F, above 85°F, or in direct sun.
• Curing: Allow 8-12 hours after the final coat, then lightly mist with water or dampen with a sponge to accelerate curing and enhance mottling. For exteriors, allow 7 days before exposure to rain or cold.
• Sealing: After 48 hours, apply 2-3 layers of Meoded Stain Shield sealer (available at Arizona Paint Supply) for added water repellency without altering the natural look.
