See the whole pattern today, not a corner of it next week.
A repeat has a size, sometimes twenty inches or more, and a mailed swatch shows you a piece of it. The books on our racks show the paper at full width. Open one at the counter, take it home against a refundable deposit, and decide in the light that room gets. Orders arrive in under a week, and the Benjamin Moore that goes beside the paper is mixed here.
Books
Two brand families, and enough range between them. The books rotate as collections retire, so this is the brand level rather than a stock list.
Sequence
Day 0 · browse and borrow
The racks are out during business hours, no appointment. Books check out at the counter against a refundable deposit, so the paper goes home and hangs on the wall it is meant for, in that room's own afternoon light.
Under a week · order
We place the order the day you decide and call you when the rolls land. Wallpaper prints in batches, so we read the run number on every roll at the counter with you before it leaves the store.
Hang · referred installer
We do not hang paper ourselves. We keep a list of installers we have worked with for years and hand you names at the counter; you hire them directly.
Walls
Screens vary and paint shifts with the light in the room. Pick up a sample before you commit to a wall.
What to paint beside the paper.
Most papered rooms need one wall color and one trim color that get out of the way. These are the ones we hand people as a starting point. The real match happens with the paper on the counter.
Counter
What we answer at the wallpaper rack, in the order people ask it.
How long does a wallpaper order take?
Most orders arrive in under a week. We place the order the day you decide, and we call you when the rolls land — we don't ask you to track it. If a pattern is on back order we'll tell you that before you pay, not after.
Can I take a sample book home?
Yes. We check books out at the counter against a refundable deposit, and the deposit comes back when the book does. Books go home because a pattern in your own hallway light is a different pattern than the one under store lighting.
What is a dye lot, and why does the run number matter?
Wallpaper is printed in batches. Two rolls of the same pattern from two different batches can differ slightly in color, and once they're on the wall next to each other you see the seam between them for as long as the paper is up. Every roll carries a run number identifying its batch. We read the run numbers on your rolls at the counter before you leave and confirm they match, so the check happens while the paper is still ours to replace.
Can I return wallpaper?
No — wallpaper is a special order and those are final. We're direct about that up front, and it's why we verify run numbers and roll counts with you at the counter instead of relying on returns to fix problems later. Measure with us before you order and we'll work out the roll count together, repeat allowance included.
Do you install wallpaper?
We don't hang it ourselves. We keep a list of installers we've worked with over the years and we'll hand you names at the counter. You hire them directly.
Can you match paint to my wallpaper?
That's the reason to buy the paper here. Bring the sample or the borrowed book to the counter and we'll read the ground color and the accent colors out of the actual pattern, then tint Benjamin Moore to them. You leave with the wallpaper order and the paint that belongs next to it.
Do you carry paste and hanging tools?
Yes. Adhesives, primers, smoothing tools, and seam rollers are stocked at the store, so you can pick up the supplies the same day you place the paper order.
