Nine product lines, cut to your windows.

Lafayette builds blinds, shades and shutters to the measurements we take. We hang them ourselves. Specifications for every line are below.

Lines

Openness factor is how much light the fabric passes. Lower is darker. On west windows, use 1 to 3 percent.

Elevation

In Phoenix the compass decides more than the pattern does. Group shades by elevation, not by room.

What to hang, by which way the window faces.

WestGenesis RollerSolar screen first. Low openness cuts the glare without giving up the view entirely, and the room stops cooking by five.1–3%
SouthParasol CellularSun all day for most of the year. Cells carry the insulation the glass does not.0–2%
EastAllure TransitionalHard light for two hours, then nothing. Vanes let you take the morning out and leave the rest open.3–5%
NorthTenera SheerNo direct sun to fight. Privacy and softness are the only jobs, so the most open fabrics work here.5–14%

Walls

Screens vary and paint shifts with the light in the room. Pick up a sample before you commit to a wall.

Wall colors that hold up beside a warm fabric.

Woven wood and natural linens pull warm. These are the colors we reach for beside them.

HC-172Revere Pewter — the safe one beside woven wood; reads warm without going yellow.
OC-17White Dove — trim and ceilings when the shade is the warmest thing in the room.
HC-173Edgecomb Gray — a light greige, a clear step down from white; holds up under a west window at five.
HC-166Kendall Charcoal — a study or a media room where the shade goes room-dimming.
HC-154Hale Navy — the one accent wall that survives next to natural linen.

Sequence

Measure · one visit

At the house, window by window, with the samples you shortlisted. No charge, and no obligation to order.

Build · two to four weeks

Made to those numbers. You get the date when you order, not after.

Install · one day

The installer who measured comes back to hang it. A wrong bracket is ours to fix.

Counter

How long does an order take?

Two to four weeks from the day we measure. Shutters run longer than roller and cellular shades.

Do you install what you sell?

Yes. The installer who measures your windows is the one who comes back to hang the finished treatment.

Can I see the fabric before I order?

Hand samples for every line are at the store, and we bring the ones you shortlist to the house so you can hold them against your own light.

Are the shades cordless?

Cordless lift is standard on the roller, cellular and sheer lines. Motorization is available on every line except the Heartland wood blind and the Wyndham shutter.

What about the window over the stairs?

Arches, angles and trapezoids run in nearly every line. Send a photo with a tape measure in frame and we will tell you what it takes.

Next

Tell us which way the windows face.

That narrows nine lines to three samples before anyone gets in a truck.
