Dunn‑Edwards color · mixed in Benjamin Moore
Benjamin Moore already has the formula for Parisian Night, so we mix the exact color at our North Scottsdale counter, in the line the surface needs. Same color, better paint. If you’d rather choose one of Benjamin Moore’s own colors, the five closest are below. Parisian Night is currently approved in 9 Arizona HOA schemes we track.
About this color
Sheen: Matte or eggshell on interior walls; flat on exterior stucco. Soft gloss or semi-gloss on doors, shutters and trim.
DEA184 Parisian Night is a very-dark, muted blue (LRV ≈ 6). Very dark colors are the Arizona desert-architecture trim and accent default: desert-aesthetic HOAs typically want trim and fascia set darker than the body, and white trim is uncommon here. They suit front doors, shutters and iron gates. Its LRV is under the overlay caps, but it is too saturated for the color rules in the Scottsdale ESL, Paradise Valley Hillside and Scottsdale Foothills overlays. As a full body on a west wall they run hot, so talk to us about the elevation first; for trim and accents we use Aura Exterior or Regal Select soft gloss.

Which Benjamin Moore line?
Front doors and shutters take the most direct sun and the most handling, and soft gloss is the finish we put on them. A deep or saturated color is what fades first, so on a door that faces west or south we reach for Aura Exterior, which locks the color into the film. On a shaded entry, Regal Select Exterior holds it well. Bring the Benjamin Moore code from any of the five swatches above and we’ll mix that exact color at the counter.
