Reading

LRV is how much light a color reflects, from 0 for black to 100 for pure white.

At an approximate LRV of 47 it returns about half the light that falls on it. That is enough to show its color across a full wall without darkening the room, which is why most whole-room interiors fall in this range.

Aura Interior and Regal Select Interior cover the interior work. It is a specialty color, so ask us before you use it outside.

It does not wash out in bright Arizona light. Use it for a whole room, a cabinet body, or interior trim against deeper walls.

Matte or eggshell on walls; satin holds up better on doors and high-touch trim.

Questions

  • Will it look like this on my wall?

Not exactly. Screens vary and paint shifts with the light in the room. Pick up a sample before you commit to a wall — put it up for a full day so you see it in morning light, afternoon light and lamplight before the gallons get tinted.

  • Is it approved for my HOA?

That depends on your community, not on the color alone. Search your HOA to see its approved palette, then bring the scheme in and we will tell you how Homestead compares. Committees approve colors, not brands, so a Benjamin Moore can is fine as long as the color matches the approved sheet.

  • Which line for a west-facing exterior?

Benjamin Moore does not publish exterior guidance for AC-19, a specialty color, so ask us before you use it outside. Bring a photo of the wall to the counter and we will find the closest color that is rated for exterior use.

  • Can you match it in another brand?

We tint Benjamin Moore. AC-19 is a native Benjamin Moore formula, so there is nothing to approximate here — it comes out of the machine as published. If you have a Dunn‑Edwards code, Benjamin Moore already has that formula too. For a chip or a lid with no code, bring it in and we will read it and tell you how close we can get.
