Reading

LRV is how much light a color reflects, from 0 for black to 100 for pure white.

At LRV 77 it returns most of the light that falls on it, so the light in the room changes how it looks. It reads cooler by a north window, warmer in afternoon west sun, and different again under a lamp at night.

Aura Interior and Regal Select Interior handle the interior side. Outside, a color this light reflects the most heat, so it keeps a sunny wall cooler. It is lighter than parts of Scottsdale and Paradise Valley allow on a house, so check your lot and your HOA first.

It reads as a pale yellow, and the color shows more on a full wall than on the chip. It suits whole rooms and cabinet bodies.

Matte or eggshell on walls; satin on trim, semi-gloss on doors. Higher sheens on walls amplify stucco texture and roller marks. Flat on exterior stucco.

Questions

  • Will it look like this on my wall?

Not exactly. Screens vary and paint shifts with the light in the room. Pick up a sample before you commit to a wall — put it up for a full day so you see it in morning light, afternoon light and lamplight before the gallons get tinted.

  • Is it approved for my HOA?

That depends on your community, not on the color alone. Search your HOA to see its approved palette, then bring the scheme in and we will tell you how Goldtone compares. Committees approve colors, not brands, so a Benjamin Moore can is fine as long as the color matches the approved sheet.

  • Which line for a west-facing exterior?

A color this light keeps a west wall about as cool as paint can, so what matters is how long the finish lasts. Aura Exterior or Element Guard if the wall takes full afternoon sun; Regal Select Exterior if it is shaded.

  • Can you match it in another brand?

We tint Benjamin Moore. OC-112 is a native Benjamin Moore formula, so there is nothing to approximate here — it comes out of the machine as published. If you have a Dunn‑Edwards code, Benjamin Moore already has that formula too. For a chip or a lid with no code, bring it in and we will read it and tell you how close we can get.
