Quartz Primer
A water-based acrylic primer with a fine quartz texture. Meoded makes it to go under every one of its plasters, inside and out.
What it's for
Plaster is much heavier than paint, and the texture in Quartz Primer is what holds it on the wall while it is worked and after. It also pulls the plaster evenly off the trowel, which makes the first coat faster and more even.
New drywall gets a drywall primer (PVA) first and glossy surfaces get sanded and a multi-purpose primer; then one coat of Quartz Primer. A sound, flat wall needs only the Quartz Primer. Over an exterior brown coat or an absorbent or previously plastered wall, thin it up to 25% with water.
Where it goes
- Under every Meoded plaster
- Concretta on new walls (not over tile)
- Exterior brown coat, thinned
